The Little Flower in Scotland - Visit of the Relics to Carfin

St Therese.png

In 2009 the relics of St Therese of Lisieux were brought to England and Wales. The visit touched many thousands of people. The relics will be brought to Scotland from 30 August to 20 September 2019.

There will be a Pilgrimage from St Catherine’s on Saturday 31 August to join in the event at Carfin Grotto. We will be leaving from St Catherine’s Church at 10am to arrive at Carfin in time for the Solemn High Mass at 1pm. Following the Mass, there will be the opportunity to receive an individual blessing with the relic of St Therese of Lisieux. Confessions will also be available before and after the Mass. We will leave Carfin at 3.30pm to arrive back at St Catherine’s at 5.30pm. The cost of the bus is £15 per person. It would be advisable to take a packed lunch, as the facilities are likely to be very busy at Carfin.

If you would like to join this pilgrimage, please sign the sheet at the back of the church as soon as possible so transport can be confirmed Enquiries to John Poland or David Greaves.

See the poster in the narthex for the full programme at Carfin.

Further details on the visit to Scotland are available here.

Please note there will be no morning Mass, Adoration or Confessions on Saturday 31 August as Fr. John will be joining the pilgrimage to Carfin.
