News from St Catherine's Primary School

Another academic year, with all of its challenges and dramas, draws to a close.

Following the celebration of the Y6 Leavers Mass, the staff reminisced about the wonderful children moving onto their new schools; it was lovely to hear the fondness in their conversations. Two of our Y6 pupils shared their memories at the Mass and brought a lump to everyone’s throat. We wish you all lots of love and best wishes for the future ahead.

We would also like to thank Caroline Osbaldestin for her many years of service as a Governor; you will be greatly missed.

This has been an amazingly successful year for St. Catherine’s, thank you all for your prayers and kind words. Have a wonderful summer! Angela Hill, Headteacher

We wish all the pupils and staff a very happy and enjoyable summer holiday. Sincere thanks go to Mrs Hill and all her staff for their hard work and dedication throughout this last academic year. There have been many blessings and achievements during the year, not least the ‘outstanding’ Diocesan RE Inspection in March. Grateful thanks also to all the school governors for what they do to support the school day to day. A number of parishioners carry out the role of ‘foundation governor’ in which they represent the Bishop. Their work is vital in providing Catholic education and in ensuring strong links with our parish community. Many thanks to all. Fr. John
