What a busy last week of the half term we have had!

On Wednesday our KS1 pupils led a beautiful May procession from school round to the Church gardens, thank you to Fr. John and the staff.

Congratulations to our KS2 pupils who represented our school at the Penrith Gala, you were a credit and Mrs. Proudfoot, Mrs. Glen and Miss. Monaghan were very proud!

The week ended with a celebratory Elmer Day; Elmer the elephant is 30 years old this year – if you are not familiar with the books – they follow the adventures of a baby elephant who at first is very upset that because he is so colourful and not grey like the other elephants. The story is one of respect and acceptance and we use it to teach our children that we are all unique and loved by God because all of us are special. Angela Hill, Headteacher
